Native Son Sportfishing

The Native Son is based at Hatteras Harbor Marina in Hatteras , N.C. on the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina. Here we have the shortest ride to the gulf stream on the East Coast other than Florida. We fish for Giant Bluefin Tuna Yellowfin Tuna , Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi, Wahoo, King Mackerel and various other species. We do some jigging as well tunas and amberjack. Hatteras is filled with great restaurants, shops and lovely rental homes all within a couple of miles form the marina. Our beaches rank among the top five in the country on a yearly bases. Come and see us and enjoy a day or two of great fishing along with some wonderful sights.

Price: $1350 Full Day Offshore, $650 Half-Day INSHORE

Minimum Passengers: 1

Maximum Passengers: we carry a maximum of 6 people per USCG regulations

Departure Time: 5:30:00

Return Time: Between 4:00 and 5:00 PM

Charter Inclusions for a fee: If you require certain things or want them supplied for you it can be arranged for a fee to be determined when we know what is required.

Charter Inclusions for free: All bait and tackle is included in the trip as well as ice for the catch. You will need to bring your food and drink for the day as well as sunscreen, sunglasses, a jacket if needed, medications as well as anything else you may need for your day.

Company Information

The Native Son is a 48 ft. custom built Carolina boat built in Wanchese, N.C. She has a fast comfortable cruise and is Air Conditioned. We have all top of the line tackle ranging form Tld 20’s all the way to Penn 130’s on custom built rods. As for me I have 31 years of fishing experience. I started out mating when I was 13 years old. I’m telling my age now. My mate has 20 years of experience and does an excellent job . We are in the business of making people happy and helping them to have an enjoyable day. Remember that even if the fishing is a little slow on a particular day you can still enjoy all the things about it. Above all we will be upfront and honest with you about the weather and the fishing and will do our best to do you right.

We have a cottage available if you wish to do a package deal. We have various rates for your stay and will try to make what you need work out. The cottage is only a half mile from the Marina so you don’t have far to travel.
