Townsville Sportfishing Charters

Townsville Sportfishing Charters operates within the greater Townsville region in tropical North Queensland waters between the Burdekin and Hinchinbrook areas. We cater for all types of fishing and supply all the gear necessarry for your fishing adventure. Estuary fishing is popular when anglers chase barramundi, jacks and salmon while offshore, anglers enjoy catches of Spanish mackerel, red emperor and coral trout. Sportfishing minded anglers love the big GT’s, queenfish and tuna while those fishing for a feed don’t miss out with golden snapper and grunter prevalent in tropical waters

Minimum Passengers: Sole charter available

Maximum Passengers: 4 guests on boat with skipper

Departure Time: 6am but flexible

Return Time: 11am for half day, 3pm full day

Your guide Eddie Riddle has been fishing North Queensland waters since 1985 and has unrivalled knowledge of these diverse fishing grounds. His experience extends to all facets of fishing media and knows what clients want – not only lots of fish, but a good time on the water. Eddie currently uses a 5.6m custom built (full survey) Seajay sportfishing vessel which is equally at home in shallow waters chasing barramundi or skipping baits and lures for Townsville’s famous run of black marlin. You name… and if it’s at all to do with fishing in North Queensland waters, Townsville Sportfishing Charters can do it – and do it well.
