MV The BOSS, built in Cairns and launched in late 2004, is a 88ft (27m) motor yacht, operating out of Port Douglas in Tropical Far North Queensland Australia. She is designed to ensure maximum comfort and space, whether diving, fishing, spearing, filming or just exploring the rich reef and river systems, islands and sand cays of the Great Barrier Reef and beyond. With a 3000nm range The BOSS does it all in superior style.

Massive is the only word to describe the main saloon area of The BOSS, it is the central hub of the vessel and provides a welcoming ultra comfy area to dine, dance and simply relax and enjoy your charter in air-conditioned comfort. This area also has a full sized bar and magnificent spiral staircase leading down to the accommodation space.

Spacious and practical define the cabins and there is 10 of them.

On board are the latest communications systems including satellite “free to air tv”, wifi and wired internet and an impressive sound system for listening to your favorite tunes. 4 terabytes of movies, documentaries and music complete the system.

Our professional Chef and company director Emily Griffen and her amazing kitchen team will give you a mind blowing culinary experience every day every meal, we are always happy to cater for any special dietary requirements. We pride ourselves on catching all our own fresh seafood and are happy to cook anything you catch as well, we might even show you our secret mud crab island, where delicious mud crabs free walk along the reef edge and lagoon, they always make the mouth water. Picture eating them on our huge all weather outdoor dining area, boasting full sized bar, music and an impressive BBQ. There is no better way to share the stories of the day.

The BOSS is the first choice for many wanting customized charters on the Great Barrier Reef, Coral Sea and Torres Straits. In the 80 to 90ft size class, it is the most spacious and capable vessel on the market with over 300m2 of floor/deck space. The BOSS has a very unique hull design with massive 18m stabilizing fins fitted along the vessel. This and the fact she is 7m wide make her impressively stable in all conditions.

 With a combined 22 years of unreal adventures on the Great Barrier Reef, with hands on experience working with guests, celebrities, marlin boats, researchers and filmmakers we have worked on many unique projects. These include turtle and dugong conservation in the Torres Straits, shark tagging, Raine Island Sand replenishment, minke whale encounters, filmed numerous documentaries with BBC, ABC, SBS, NHK, Discovery both on the GBR and in the Coral Sea. Not to mention our extensive marlin fishing and spearfishing achievements, we simply live to be on the water and saltwater runs through our veins.
